What is a Family Readiness Group (FRG)?
A Family Readiness Group is an officially sanctioned
organization of officer and enlisted personnel and their family members.
It can also include community leaders and employees. FRGs use
volunteers to provide information and comprises a support network for
families and unit members during times of peace and during deployments.
FRGs are crucial, especially during deployments. One of the most
important components of an FRG is the relaying of information to families.
ANYONE who wants to volunteer and contribute their
talents can be part of a FRG.
Individuals do not necessarily have to be in an FRG
to reap the benefits, especially during times of deployments.
It is important to make sure the FRG has your information so that they
may readily provide you with crucial information about upcoming events.

- Become self-reliant
- Prepare for military separation
- Support the military family member
